How to use NeedleCalm™

Three simple steps – and you are ready to go

1. Chill the pad. Keep in the fridge before use.

2. Apply to the site. Peel and press the adhesive tape to secure the device above the needle site immediately before the procedure.

3. Proceed with care. Apply pressure onto the pad while inserting the needle directly below.

Here’s everything you need to know for safe and effective use.

1. Store in the fridge. Keep your NeedleCalm pads refrigerated at 2–8°C. They need at least 4 hours of chilling before use — so store them as soon as they arrive.

2. Travel tip: If travelling to an appointment, keep the pad sandwiched between two ice packs in a cooler bag to maintain the temperature.

3. Apply the pad. Remove the protective backing from the tape and press firmly onto the skin above the needle site.

4. Proceed immediately. Apply the pad moments before the needle procedure and maintain firm pressure during insertion. Use within 20 seconds of application — if more time passes, remove, re-chill if possible, and reapply.

5. Remove after the procedure. Once the needle is removed, gently peel back the silicone tape. Dispose of the used pad directly into general waste. Skin indentation is normal and resolves within an hour.
